Seguendo il processo creativo del coreografo Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, guidati da alcuni imput e modalità di lavoro che caratterizzano anche alcuni dei suoi spettacoli (Babel e Puzzle), i danzatori avranno la possibilità di svilupparne il vocabolario, analizzarne il ritmo e i metodi compositivi per creare del nuovo materiale coreografico.
Obiettivo della proposta di Vittoria De Ferrari Sapetto vuole essere quello di generare una “right question” la cui risposta possa essere oggetto di ricerca personale da parte di ciascuno.
Attraverso esercizi che coinvolgano differenti abilità tecniche del corpo, physical theater e improvvisazione guidata si tracceranno nuovi percorsi e metodologie di movimento.
Vittoria De Ferrari Sapetto
Nata a Rio De Janeiro, Vittoria si trasferisce nel 2002 a Bruxelles e, da quel momento in poi, gira il mondo e balla per diversi coreografi quali Jan Fabre (Prometheus-landscape2), Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (Puzzle), Damien Jalet (Les Medusee), Quan Bui Ngnoc (Untold), Akram Khan (Resta con me, Olimpiadi 2012 a Londra), Romeo Castellucci (Uso Umano di Esseri Umani), Arco Renz, Andy Deneys, Davis Freeman, Felix Rukert, Frey Faust.
Dal 2013 dà inizio al suo personale progetto e alla collaborazione che la porta a diventare artista residente presso lo Swatch Art Peace Hotel di Shanghai. Nel frattempo crea il solo Reborn per la Little Victories Art Gallery. Nel 2014 crea un altro solo dal titolo 088 attualmente in tour. Nel settembre 2015 entra a far parte della Compagnia Virgilio Sieni con la quale danza in Atlante del Gesto (Fondazione Prada Milano), 1265 Divina Commedia (Palazzo Vecchio, Firenze), Preludio e Le Sacre tuttora in tour. Nello stesso anno inizia ad insegnare e coreografare per SEAD-Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance. Nel 2016 è assistente coreografa in “BABEL 7.16” di Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui & Damien Jalet al Festival d’Avignone. Vittoria è inoltre docente in corsi e laboratori in Europa e all’estero.

WORKSHOP DI DANZA CONTEMPORANEA E REPERTORIO SIDI LARBI CHERKAOUI
We will focusing on the working task of different Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui ’s shows (Babel and Puzzle), and from there we will create new dance material ,learning rhythms and analyzing his composing methods.
The creation process of Larbi is based on the different input that each of his dancers bring to it, so every dancer is treated as an independent artist ,this brings each of us on developing even more our own dance vocabulary and ideas.
The aim of my research and work after all this years of performing and working as an artist is to generate the right question that each person is searching for.
I won’t give any answer cause this is eventually what every artist will be busy with in their own journey.
To understand which is the “right question” I will propose different kind of exercise, engaging different technical abilities of our body; passing through strong physical dance movement till arriving to more physical theater guided improvisation .We will focusing on searching new path way in order to enrich our movement vocabulary.
My interest is on acknowledging our habits or limit and try to break it or simply change it to open new different possibilities eventually for a new creating process .
The work in couple or small group will certainly allow each dancer to explore easily the “unknown” sfere ,aswell as the big influence that martial art brought into my research .
The workshop will explore the technical body aspect of our movement and bring it to dynamics and space and different
architectural space awareness that can help us understanding the natural source of it.
Vittoria Ferrari Sapetto
Born in Rio De Janeiro She moved in Bruxelles in 2002 and since then she has been dancing and touring the world for several choreographer like: Jan Fabre (Prometheus-landscape2), Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (Puzzle), Damien Jalet (Les Medusee), Quan Bui Ngnoc (Untold) Coproduction Les Ballets c.de la B., Akram Khan (Abide with me, olympics game 2012 London), Romeo Castellucci (Uso umano di esseri umani), Arco Renz, Andy Deneys, Davis Freeman, Felix Rukert, Frey Faust, Virgilio Sieni. Since 2013 she starts her own project and collaboration that bring her to be a resident artist in Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, while there she creates a solo “Reborn” for the Little Victories gallery, and a dance video “Closer” that was projected in a loop in the Arsenal of the biennale of Venice 2015. In 2014 she create another solo “088” which is currently touring. From April 2016 she is coproduce by the company DEJADONNE for new production like “In Pasto al Pubblico” premiered in festival Fabbrica Europa 2016 ,Florence ;and a new
coming show called “365”. She was assistant-coreographer for “Babel 7.16” from Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Damien Jalet for the festival In of Avignon 2016, “cour d’honore” .
She also teaches classes and workshop in Europe and abroad. She is a regular teacher of the
SEAD accademy in Salzburg, Artesis Antwerp, La Raffinerie Bruxelles,HJS Amsterdam, K3 Hamburg, B12 Berlin, Attakalari Bangalore, Circuit-Est Montreal, Ensimismados San Jose,Trip Space London,Conde Duque , Descalzinha Madrid, UNAM Mexico city,INBA Mexico city.
