The Bolshoi Academy summer intensives are coming to Florence, Lugano, Tokyo and Moscow with 1 to 3-week sessions!
Offer personal instruction by outstanding Bolshoi Academy faculty members, accommodation, meal plans, chaperones and more!
Are accepting video auditions for 2024 destinations:
- Florence, Italy (July 8-26)
- Lugano, Switzerland (July 29 – August 2)
- Tokyo, Japan (August 12-17)
- Moscow, Russia (August 12-23)
Summer programs include classical dance, repertoire, pointe class, character dance and stretching workshops.
Students will be studying a unique repertoire of classical variations as well as several character dances.
Courses are tailored to the needs of individual dancers from beginner to pre-professional levels.
Bolshoi Academy master teachers work closely with each student developing their confidence and technique.
A chaperone is present at all times to translate and safeguard students.
Summer Intensive Teachers
Bolshoi are delighted to welcome back Bolshoi Academy master teachers Irina Pyatkina and Lyudmila Yermakova, former Bolshoi Theatre soloists, who have trained some of today’s top soloists and prima ballerinas. Their experience will provide invaluable knowledge and techniques to help you overcome difficulties and improve your skills.
Performance is an important part of the summer intensive. Each week ends with a student showcase where parents are invited to watch their children perform. Each dancer will have the opportunity to audition for a full-time program at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy.
Bolshoi Academy Summer Intensives are not only about ballet, we place a strong emphasis on community and encourage friendship rather than competition. Chaperoned sightseeing trips around the city offer great opportunities to relax and make new friends.
Bolshoj offer meal plans and flexible accommodation so that our students get the most out of their Bolshoi Academy Summer Intensive experience.
